CRIME IS NOT SO BAD "There are a million ways that religious institutions defraud the government," said one Brooklyn accountant who asked that his name be withheld. However, it's not just the Jews, he claimed, "churches do the same thing." Churches and synagogues are exempt from filing tax returns -- although many do -- and the government usually does not audit unless it has probable cause. As a result, this can make fraud easier. In the last decade or so, a number of Chasidic institutions on the East Coast have been charged with such crimes, including the 1997 case against the Skverer Hasidim in Rockland County, N.Y., where four men were found guilty of defrauding the government of millions of dollars in federal Pell Grants. But in the Orthodox community, many defended them, despite the crime, because the money was used to support needy yeshiva students. "Nobody here owns a yacht," a resident reportedly said, and the feeling then -- as with many such institutional fraud cases -- that if the money is used to help the community and not line someone's pockets, it's not so bad. That, in fact, is a pervasive attitude these days in Brooklyn, where the Spinka case raised fewer eyebrows than in Los Angeles, because the attitude is everyone does something. This kind of discussion has been a hot topic on many Internet blogs that discuss the ultra-Orthodox community. "The government are thieves, what gives them the right to take 40 percent to 50 percent of someone's income? Anyone who can save yiddishe gelt from going down that toilet is doing a mitzvah," one contributor wrote on the Vosizneias (Yiddish for "What Is News?") blog. The blog comments, though, seem to be about evenly divided between two camps: On one hand are those castigating the government or the bloggers posting the news for spreading gossip; on the other are those demanding that the community finally put a stop to criminal behavior. One particularly poignant plea came from New York white-collar defense attorney Joel Cohen, in an essay published in 2006 titled, "Jewish Felons: The Problem of Criminality in Observant Communities." Cohen described witnessing a disturbing rise in crime among Orthodox and Chasidic Jews. "The problem in the observant community, however, is not merely occasional, nor does it often make headlines. Daily, in metropolises around the country, yarmulka-wearing criminal defendants appear before the bar of justice," he wrote. Some prisons -- especially in New York, Los Angeles and Miami -- have daily minyans, visiting rabbis, kosher food, classes and Shabbat meals, Cohen wrote. "The most common charge is fraud: against businessmen and run-of-the-mill citizens alike, most frequently involving victims outside of the Jewish community, against the government, against insurance carriers, against banking institutions, health care fraud, money-laundering and stock-swindling." Cohen pleads with his fellow Orthodox Jews to denounce the criminal activity: "Only with the open denouncement of wrongdoing from within the particular observant community can the community hope to demonstrate and protect the Torah's commitment to honesty in one's interpersonal dealings as being at least equal to, if not greater than, its commitment to technical observance of mitzvoth," he wrote DON'T BLAME THE MESSENGER\But the most talked-about aspect of the case -- both among bloggers and at Shabbat tables on both coasts -- has been the involvement of Kasirer. From the start, most here guessed accurately who he was -- an informant who turned state's evidence to save his own skin -- but what they wanted to know was what was he? Was he a moser -- an informer, who, according to traditional Jewish law, must be killed for turning against a Jew and is denied access to "the world to come." The Talmud forbids a Jew to inform on another Jew to a secular government, even if that Jew violated both secular and Jewish law. Today, among poskim -- Orthodox rabbinic deciders -- there is a debate over whether a Jew may turn in another Jew in a democratic state. Some rabbis say that laws of moser do not hold in the United States because they were established to protect Jews from corrupt and anti-Semitic governments that would likely torture and give Jews worse treatment than other prisoners than merited by Jewish law. This is not the case today in a democracy, they say. "These rules apply only to one who informs on another to bandits and so endangers that person's money and life, as these bandits chase after a person's body and money, and thus one may use deadly force to save oneself," it is written in the Aruch Hashulchan, ("Laying the Table," a book about Jewish law written in the late 19th century). But many insist that the laws of moser do apply today, and that it is forbidden by Jewish law for one Jew to inform on another to any secular government. Rabbi Ezra Batzri in "Dinnai Mamonut" ("Laws of Money") says informing is prohibited. "All rules of informing are applicable even currently .... Even if they bring all matter to court, it is clear that, through interrogation and the police, government can destroy people, and in many places they do, in fact, destroy people."

A BOARD MEMBER of a Brighton Beach group that advocates for tenants' rights has resigned his post after revelations he ignored hundreds of violations in a building he owns, the Daily News has learned. Landlord Sam Shpelfogel, a 15-year member of the Brighton Neighborhood Association's board of directors, stepped down last week. His resignation came after The News detailed charges by the city Housing Preservation and Development that Shpelfogel has failed to fix more than 400 maintenance violations at 2822 Brighton Eighth St., a 38-unit building. "Sam has since resigned from my board of directors," said Pat Singer, association director. Singer said she asked Shpelfogel to step aside temporarily while she looks into the charges against him but that he insisted on permanently cutting ties. "I don't want to speak to you," Shpelfogel told a reporter who called him for comment. Lawyers for the city agency are evaluating a new housing court case against Shpelfogel - the second in two years - because of the massive number of violations at his building. In a case that settled last fall, Shpelfogel agreed to fix 715 violations there, officials said. "His cover is gone and he's got to go," a tenant said yesterday of Shpelfogel's resignation. "I've been robbed here three times and it's a result of that front door [lock] - he doesn't want to fix it. Another tenant called 311 so frequently about leaks, mold and roaches in her apartment that after The News' Nov. 16 article, a city operator called her. "311 called me and said, 'You made the paper,' " said mother of five Dionna Hodges. Shpelfogel previously said that some tenants, including Hodges, have refused to allow city inspectors in to see that repairs have been made. Hodges said she refused to allow Shpelfogel in because he harasses her. City officials stood behind the Brighton association's work - and the $22,000 the group gets from the City Council each year. The state's Division of Housing and Community Renewal gives the group $65,000 a year. Because Shpelfogel stepped down, the city's money will continue to flow to the group, said City Councilman Lewis Fidler (D-Marine Park). "You got the best result," said Fidler, a member of the Council's Housing and Buildings Committee, of Shpelfogel's resignation. Of the 410 outstanding violations at the building, 43 areconsidered dangerous - class C - violations according to city records. mgrace@nydailynews.com

Когда же я попробывал искать покупателя на свою ко-оп квартиру то во-первых я не нашел ничего серьезного, короче смотреть квартиру приходили любопытные люди без намерений покупки, а значит открывать истинное положение по состоянию дома не было законной на мой взгляд необходимости, выглядеть дураком я как и все люди не хочу и рассказывать как я заплатил наличку а потом еще и ремонтировал год, после чего потекло все что в жилом доме может течь, радиаторы, окна, потолок, трубы в кухне, туалете даже в доме прямо на проходе в дом, вонь стоит в доме от гниения, то же в моём туалете, где все вымыто и переоборудовано. Однако я не мог переоборудовать то что внутри стены, а там, годпода и дамы, дождь идет периодически, и я его слышу.

Если бы не убийство о котором я прочитал чисто слуайно то вероятно я так бы никогда и не понял зачем же Яков Янкловиц приводит в упадок дома на 3250 Кони Айленд авеню, 3260 Кони Айленд авеню и все другие дома где живут неудачики инвесторы которые ежели не поняли какую квартиру купили то так и живут по сей день строя догадки как и я в недавние еще времена.
Леонард Янкловиц и Яков Янкловиц два брата увы, не акробата а аферисты как и покойик супер аферист по недвижимости Старк.

Сеня Шпелфогел, сам себя назвавший Сэмом, входит в список в котором много других, я со всеми аферистами по недвижимости не имел "чести" познакомится.

И вряд ли мне нужны такие знакомые которые не могут жить без своих "тайных" преступных дел, когда видимо их жизнь не может иметь никакого другого смысла без того что они делают профессионально: обманывают и риалторов которым по фигу какие там квартиры в поисках покупателей, обманывают и покупателей.
Все их проделки связаны с больной наркотической необходимостью вредить людям и оттягащать и так проблемый вопрос квартир в Нью-Йорке. А хорошо бы чтоб их в конце концов прищучили бы ну если не как Старка (а жаль) то конечно первым делом налоговый аппарат Америки который они немилосердно "наказывают". Об этом следует далее.

Для аферистов с недвижимостью воровать (по сути) деньги - обман простофиль, как я прочитал в книгах моей подруги (она изучает психологию в криминалистике) становится таким же необходимым стимулянтом как для любого преступника который занимается преступной деятельностью на постое то есть регулярно многие годы и особенно если безнаказанно.

То есть невозможно остановить Чикатило от убийств - точно так же невозможно остановить Леонарда Янкловица, Якова Янкловица, Шпелфогеля Сема и других наёбывать честных граждан когда они либо покупают дом, квартиру, ко-оп (покупка доли в доме) либо просто берут квартиру в ренту.

"Наебали" меня по черному как эта вода в моей ванной - почему вода черная - спросил я профессионального водопроводчика. Он мне сказал: "А что я, мол, ожидал, покупая старую квартиру, в которой судя по всему вообще никогда ремонта никто не делал как и во всем здании."
Вот тут я и задумался, как это вообще никогда ремонта никто не делал как и во всем здании. То есть продажа каждой квартиры, где ремонт в порядке это обман по-любому. Ну может кому-то повезло и нет в его квартире гнилых труб водопровода, вряд ли.

зачем же продавать такие квартиры - да еще за нал и c месячной оплатой за по-месячным уходом за квартирой со стороны управления домом?

Яков Янкловиц и риалтор показали мне ко-оп на продажу. В квартире было всё отремотировано, может только не хватало хорошего холодильника и прочих домашних машин которые при покупке квартиры можно себе позволить не скупиться на торги с владельцем. Тот строил из себя етакого приличного еврея, лоялиста и даже дружелюбного добряка.

Как и всё в Маленькой Одессе, совсем не то что все добропорядочные люди понимают под таким "соусом". Даже мне, понимая и зная за много лет жизнь "наших" людей с разным достатком ясно с первого взгляда и со знанием мнохих лет как на самом деле живется здесь в Маленькой Одессе или по местному язику просто НА БРАЙТОНЕ живут и не сосотоятельные и те кого жизнь побаловала относительно успехом. Вот чего-чего, а нет Здесь ест благотворительности а из всего мною увиденного и узнанного Здесь есть то что совершенно противоположное по сути своей благотворительности
стрмление поставить барьер между теми кого не хотят даже називать "нищими" или более мягко "малоимущими" и "богатыми" и "влиятельными". а именно И какая здесь связь когда я публикую информацию о квартирах и всяких махинациях с перепродажами? Оказалось здесь связь самая прямая.

Сэм Шпельфогел, Яков Янкловиц. Ето не "влиятельные" инвесторы как их називают в газетах, когда еще кто-то читал газеты. Ето пример того как в Маленькой Одессе обманным путем продают и манипулируют квартирами и домами.

Brooklyn's Gourmanoff Market Donating Thousands Worth Of Free Turkeys

Gourmanoff Market® is partnering with the Brighton Beach Neighborhood Association to give away free Thanksgiving turkeys to local residents in need. 

Gourmnaoff has pledged to donate over 150 turkeys, a value of nearly $5000. 

The turkeys will be available for pickup all day on Tuesday November 25th beginning at10:00 AM  inside the Chase Bank building at 1002 Brighton Beach Ave in Brooklyn, NY.  

Starting on Wednesday November 19th, the Brighton Beach Neighborhood Association led by Pat Singer gave qualified recipients special redemption vouchers.  To be eligible to receive a voucher qualified recipients showed either a Medicare care, a food stamps benefits card or a VA card. 

Gourmanoff's CEO, Mr. Edward Shnayder, remarked that, "since Gourmanoff's opening in August we have increasingly looked for ways to give back to the local community.  The cost of making a traditional Thanksgiving meal can be costly, but it is an American tradition from which no one should be excluded.  Therefore we felt that this was the right thing to do just in time for the holidays. I really view it as our way of saying thank you to the local community for welcoming us to the neighborhood."
