Brooklyn's Gourmanoff Market Donating Thousands Worth Of Free Turkeys
Gourmanoff Market® is partnering with the Brighton Beach Neighborhood Association to give away free Thanksgiving turkeys to local residents in need.
Gourmnaoff has pledged to donate over 150 turkeys, a value of nearly $5000.
The turkeys will be available for pickup all day on Tuesday November 25th beginning at10:00 AM inside the Chase Bank building at 1002 Brighton Beach Ave in Brooklyn, NY.
Starting on Wednesday November 19th, the Brighton Beach Neighborhood Association led by Pat Singer gave qualified recipients special redemption vouchers. To be eligible to receive a voucher qualified recipients showed either a Medicare care, a food stamps benefits card or a VA card.
Gourmanoff's CEO, Mr. Edward Shnayder, remarked that, "since Gourmanoff's opening in August we have increasingly looked for ways to give back to the local community. The cost of making a traditional Thanksgiving meal can be costly, but it is an American tradition from which no one should be excluded. Therefore we felt that this was the right thing to do just in time for the holidays. I really view it as our way of saying thank you to the local community for welcoming us to the neighborhood."
